The idea of using many exposures in the same frame is to convey the unique vibration of the street Carnival in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. When you are around excited people wearing surreal costumes, feeling the boiling weather and listening to loud music everywhere, you are definitely carried to another reality, maybe a psychedelic one. This essay tries to mimic this feeling using the technique of shooting multiple exposures with a lo-fi camera that is well known for its unpredictability and leaving a gap at random. I believe is where the magic happens.
